Lost in London Colouring Book
Our debut adult colouring book ‘Lost in London’, takes you on a zigzag colouring tour through London’s most famous and interesting places. Published by Hardie Grant Publishing in October 2016, the 96 page book contains hundreds of buildings and landmarks to add your own colourful customisations to.
‘Lost in London’ is a colouring book that also takes you on a guided tour. The book ‘lands’ at Heathrow airport in the far west of London, and pinballs left to right, through the many amazing boroughs, tourist hotspots and secret wonders that the city has to offer. It then ‘departs’ from London City Airport, conveniently placed on the east side.
Each spread shows the architecture of a different part of London. Taking a deep breath, the book goes on a journey through: Heathrow airport, Wembley, Kew Gardens, Hampstead, Hammersmith & Olympia, Kensington, Notting Hill, Paddington, Exhibition Road, Knightsbridge, Battersea, Brixton, Pimlico, Buckingham Palace, Mayfair, Marylebone, Camden & Primrose Hill, Oxford Circus, Piccadilly Circus, St James’s Park, Whitehall, Westminster, Elephant & Castle, Waterloo, Southbank, Trafalgar Square, Covent Garden, Holborn, King’s Cross, Angel, Barbican, St Paul’s, Tate Modern, London Bridge, Monument, Bank, Liverpool Street, Shoreditch, Hackney, Brick Lane, Aldgate, Tower Bridge, Canary Wharf, Greenwich, Greenwich Peninsula, Stratford and London City Airport. And breathe…
We were approached in late 2015, and in total the project took the best part of 6 months to complete, from the idea stage, to sketching through to delivering the files to the publisher. We aimed to create a tribute to London that would make any Londoner proud, so we hope you like it, and hope we didn’t miss out your favourite place! We’d like to thank Hardie Grant for the opportunity and the creative freedom too.
If you’re interested in finding out where to buy ‘Lost in London’, it’s available from many online bookshops including Amazon and Chronicle books. We also released a sequel, ‘Lost in Paris‘ in March 2017.
