Introducing: New Concrete Notebook Collection

The Concrete Notebook: New for 2022! The City Works have launched a brand new collection of notebooks with gorgeous grey cover papers. The new colour takes its inspiration from one of the key building materials used in city construction.

Amazing concrete structures, from park benches, to sculptures and skyscrapers inform so much of the cityscape. So it’s only natural that we started incorporating beton into our work somehow.

After researching many different grey papers, we found the right colour balance, lightness, weight and texture. When making our concrete notebook, it was also important to test the paper through different print processes. We use screen-printing, embossing, white-ink printing and hot-foiling in our work.

In keeping with our environmental commitments, this ‘grey’ paper is also ‘green’ in multiple ways. The paper is made locally in Italy using 25% discarded leather offcuts. While that means the notebook isn’t Vegan, it does make use of raw material that would otherwise be on the landfill! Furthermore, the paper is also FSC Certified.
